Looking for proceduresto develope games, toys and learning materials, we decided to sign up for a practical workshop on the use of the laser cutter offered by the Ateneu de Fabricació Ciutat Meridiana.
With the help of workshop teachers, in a couple of sessions we practiced how to use the vector design program to prepare our idea so that the laser cutter "understands" what to do; we found what are the steps to do to start the laser, pass the information of our design and start the process of cutting and engraving. Take it! The proposal was to make a design for a three-dimensional object composed of several two-dimensional pieces. A challenge!
First idea: design a toy. It is complicated without knowing how to draw and just rehearsing with the vector design program!

After a few days, with a manual saw we made a hood with a rest of the plywood that ran around the house.
The truck was a first trial. In fact, we realize it doesn't work as a toy.
Painted and with the logo and address of the Casa Vínculos , we will give it as a gift to the team of fundación Vínculos. See it in the header of this entry.
